PERU EXPLORER 15 DAYS /14 NIGHTS -Lima, Lake Titicaca Inca Trail to Machu Picchu or Salcantay trek and Jungle trip


Itinerary
Day 1 Lima 

Arrival in Lima at any time of the day, Transfer Airport to hotel in Lima

Day 2 Puno
Flight to Puno. City tour (Optional)overnight in Puno

Day 3-4 Lake Titicaca tour Taquile, Amantani and Uros Island
Lake Titicaca is the highest elevated navigable lake in the world.  We will visit Uros Islands, home of the oldest civilization of the region.  These islands, made out of totora, a combination of reed and mud, float on the lake.  We continue to Taquile Island that preserves remarkable customs in dress.  Later we will return to Puno after two amazing days on the blue waters of Lake Titicaca.(2lunch-1breakfast-1dinner).4th day overnight in Puno.

Day 5 Cusco
A six hours bus ride to Cusco. Beautiful scenery of the flat land from the Altiplano down to the Andes of Cusco where we can see the changes in the different climate zones throughout the trip.  In the afternoon we will have a Cusco city Tour.  River rafting is available on the Urubamba River. (No meals included) overnight in Cusco.

Day 6 Sacred Valley Tour
Visit to Pisaq and Ollantaytambo, which are both important archaeological sites and a great insight into the cultural history of the Incas. (no meals included) overnight in Ollantaytambo. 

Day 7-10 Inca Trail to Machu Picchu or Salcantay Trek 
The Inca Trail, which is part of the Machu Picchu Historical Sanctuary, has been designated as a World Heritage Natural and Cultural site.  It is one of the most famous hikes in South America and for a lot of people the most important trip in Peru. (3lunch-3dinner-3breakfast). 10th day we will be back in Cusco, overnight in Cusco.

Day 11 Cusco
Day off. Optional horseback riding, biking, and paragliding. (No meals included) overnight in Cusco.

Day 12-14 Tambopata Jungle trip
We will spend two days in one of the most spectacular reserves of the Amazonian Rainforests, the Tambopata Reserve.  The first day we will have a nice trip by boat to the lodge. After lunch we will have a tour guide to the monkey island.  In the way back to the lodge there will be chances to see caimans and also capybaras. The second day we will go to the Sandoval Lake where the variety of birds and plants makes this place wild and beautiful. If we are lackeys we may see black caimans. The 14th day we have and early morning breakfast and we go back to Puerto Maldonado Airport and back to Lima (2 lunches-2breakfasts-2dinners). Overnight in Lima.

Day 15 Lima
Early Flight to Lima, once there a City tour around Lima after a lunch transfer to airport and Flight  back home.

Meals Included: All meals on The Inca Trail, around Lake Titicaca, while trekking, and on the Jungle trip
Accommodation: Simple hotels/guest houses, camping, lodge and home stays; some nights may be multi-share
Transport: Public buses, local flights, train, motor boat, boats, and hiking
Titicaca: Guided tour of Taquile and the Uros Islands
Inca Trail: 4 days Inca Trail hike with local guide, cook and porters and a tour guide in Machu Picchu
Jungle Trip: 2 days in the Amazon
Group leader: A group leader in every City Puno, Cusco, Puno and Lima.  Local guides while on The Inca Trail, at Machu Picchu and while biking and rafting

What is not included?
Hotels and meals during the days that passengers want to stay in Cusco, Puno or any of the cities, instead of continuing with the trips, City tour. Sleeping mats and sleeping bags during the trekking tours (you may rent for 3 dollars a day)

What to bring?
Sleeping bag (menus 15 degrees). for the Inca trail, mosquito repellent regular mountaineering clothes for hiking shoes and trainers, hat during the hike, socks, worm cloths, gloves, woollen hat to cover the ears, rain coat, sun Block PFD 40º, flash Light for the trekking, bottle water to fill the bottle up with water. Personal medical kit, items that you consider very import during the trip
